Our research combines mathematical modeling and electron microscopy
to investigate lower-dimensional carbon configurations. Aim of the project
is to address the fine geometry of graphene, nanotubes, and
fullerenes as well as the emergence of defects.
Further details can be found on our
project page.
This project has been funded with the 2014 WWTF call
"Mathematics and ..."
and run jointly by the Research Groups in
Applied Mathematics and Modeling and
Disorder in Materials
at the University of Vienna.
