The Erwin Schroedinger Institute for Mathematical Physics

Thematic Program: Nonlinear Flows

The thematic program will bring together researchers from nonlinear functional analysis, calculus of variations, partial differential equations, geometric, and stochastic evolution.

Relevant topics will include variational methods for nonlinear dissipative equations, possibly posed in spaces of probability measures, optimal transport, and Hamiltonian systems. Applications will likely cover phase-change, reaction-diffusion, materials theories, fluid and social dynamics.

The activities will include series of lectures and two workshops:

The Workshop 2 is a Satellite Event of the 7th European Congress of Mathematics.

Organizing: E. Feireisl, A. Jüngel, A. Mielke, G. Savaré, U. Stefanelli.

The Thematic Program is partially supported by the FWF Doctoral school
